lifeexpectancy
I’ve ordered things the earliest you can find them or where stores have multiple items for fewer unique store visits. SEVERAL items in safehouse I placed later on in the guide because they’re large meaning you’d have to zone out to carry each out and use it. Restart story, go through guide ignoring side missions. Just do main case files/zombrex & use every item in the guide except for RED ones. MARK THEM OFF as you go, trust me, and save anytime you pass a restroom. USE ONE SAVE FILE, if u save in different slots then the weapons used MAY only register on whichever file u save them on, possibly messing up this achievement. There's plenty of time to use all items in day 1. If achieve doesn't pop progress the story following the survivor/psycho guide HERE since it gives you chronological order & time they appear & KILL ALL unrelated psychos & survivors, and by all I mean ALL, so the requisite quests pop up at their proper times to finish achievement. PURPLE items supposedly aren't required according to youtube video I found. M.R. = Maintenance Room Credit goes to Lovemetal423 for Item Locations guide HERE which I used to locate many of these. Also found a youtube video with freeze frames of what appears to be each item, although in a much different order than mine [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qeHoWnz1RA]HERE[/ame] I didn't make a reserve post and it's at the 10,000char limit but suggestions are welcome. Several people have attained the achievement using this guide including myself so I'm calling it 99.99% complete at this point. lifeexpectancy
I don't think the massager applies to melee weapons as its part of novelty weapons. I'll double check with an offline profile that hasn't used the massager to confirm. Edited October 15, 2010 by lifeexpectancy
lifeexpectancy
Guide updated and cleaned up. Capitalized all melee items that need to be used so they're easier to distinguish from miscellaneous text. Also highlighted in Red those items that are psychopath or survivor quest-dependent. Just have to get those last 4 items into walkthrough and give specific locations in Southern Plaza to make those items easier to find and it will be complete. Has anyone ever seen an "outdoor garbage can"? It was on the item list in the sticky thread link.... I've never seen one. jtswong
I found a mailbox not far from the restaurant on the Platinum Strip (where Chad normally spawns). Just head towards the Arena while sticking to the left and you'll find it. I found it next to a newspaper box. Cincaid
I just went through your list (and another one I had) and the achievement didn't pop for me. This was on a restarted story, the previous playthrough I made it very clear to use every item that only show up during the story and/or survivors. I did Novelty Weapons on this playthrough now, and that one popped, so I know there's simply a weapon I somehow missed since the novelty weapons carried over. Or does anyone know if you have to use any weapon in a specific way? I've noticed, for example, that the Utility Cart can only be carried or pushed, not used as a melee weapon at least what I've found. This is really pissing me off...guess I'll have to replay the story once again, unless someone can point out something that I could've done obviously wrong. lifeexpectancy
Cincaid look for these three items they were missing in my original guide: peace art, money case, and shopping valuables. I'm 99% sure the case and valuables are only available during related survivor quests. Not sure about peace art working on it. Also I had mentioned in the novelty guide I wrote that u may want to try each "type" of attack with each weapon. So for instance with the utility cart push it over a few zombies, then pick it up and swing it by tapping x if you can, hold LT and throw it, finally push and hold x if it gives a different attack animation. I'll be going through my guide tomorrow on my main profile and Sunday on an offline profile that's level 1 and verify that it works for sure. Did you use the checklist someone posted in a reply here and mark off each weapon as you went? Edited October 16, 2010 by lifeexpectancy
Cincaid
Cheers for the tip, but unfortunatly I did use the three weapons you mentioned. Shopping Valuables is always in Kathy's Place in Paradise Plaza, so no need to look for survivors. Peace Art is also in the art gallery at all times. And as long as there's nothing wrong with Janus' Money Case, even if I did have to kill him to get it, I've also used that one. Regarding different type of attacks I'm fairly sure I did use most, if not all, weapons in different ways. The only weapon I can think of not being used properly was Male Mannequin Right Arm as I just threw it at a zombie, but that part is probably not even needed (will check now). So I guess I somehow didn't use a weapon during my story playthrough, even if I'm almost positive I did. Also, I used this checklist, even if yours look better. Cincaid
It finally unlocked! It seems I missed the Fancy Small Chair in Slot Ranch Casino, probably because it looks a lot like the Fancy Tall Chair. Glad I didn't play through all of the story again for nothing at least. lifeexpectancy
Glad u got it, plus it helps confirm guide validity. I thought maybe u just missed an item along the way but it would have sounded terribly condescending of me to say that lol. Congrats!

I'm glad you posted this because I was missing just the Fancy Small Chair in Slot Ranch Casino too. I read your post, went to the Slot Ranch, rooted around for the Fancy Small Chair, whacked a zombie with it and the achievement popped. Thanks Cincaid. I was getting tired of second guessing whether I used every item. Edited October 16, 2010 by Acid

Its doing my head in EDIT: also the medicine ball can be found in the window of A mans sport in royal flush EDIT2: Finally unlocked! It was the plywood! even though i know ive used it before because i had to jump over the wall on the safehouse roof to go and get it!! lifeexpectancy
Did a run-through of the guide myself this a.m. I've used every weapon except for the Red highlighted ones b/c I haven't advanced the story far enough. The guide now gives you pretty much the most direct route to obtaining all items without backtracking. The few large items in the SH you can just grab one at a time when you enter it for storyline-related quests that way you're not running back in and out just for those few items. lifeexpectancy
Tested and confirmed today on my main account. Will confirm with a new profile when I have enough spare time to play all the way to bloody case 5-2 for the military case. ***Also thinking of transferring military case, comedy trophy, and magician sword from my main to a new profile using the item duplication trick to see if this achieve is possible by getting the missable items from a friend*** For the time being it seems several people including myself have attained this achieve with this guide so I'm calling it 99.99% done at this point. Wortsenawl
I am going to go through them all again. I was sure I had used the money case, but figured it might be that one I missed... and so I am on playthrough 901 (at least it feels that way). Anyway, used the money case and no achievement. FYI - Money case (first instance of it) is on the floor of the casino next to the survivors during "Worker's compensation"
Soulreaper 1337
I discovered as i was going for this achievement that some of the weapons (giant pink chainsaw, katana, chainsaw, and chef knife for sure) you have to use all the regular attacks and the heavy on a zombie because i used every weapon a few times then went back and used the 5 weapons that have prerequisites and when the pink chainsaw was flashing red i just kept tapping attack and when i did the pelvic thrust attack i got the achievement. lifeexpectancy
I highly suggest attacking 2-3 zombies with each weapon and mark off each one as you go. I did not do the pelvic thrust move with the giant pink chain saw. I think the problem for some people is that it doesn't always register a hit on a zombie so attacking 2-3 different ones with each weapon helps ensure you get credit. McGoogles
I can confirm that the video worked perfectly. Just make sure to save and/or load on the same slot. Anyways, my last weapon was the big stick in Fortune City Hotel. I never even touched the military cases either, by the way.
lifeexpectancy
You probably used military case on a different playthroughs n just didn't think about it. This achieve carries across playthroughs as long as its on the same save slot.
lowtek
Hey, does anyone have a save right before they got their last weapon? I'm wondering if you can join co op and hit with the weapon and the other person can get the achievement.
