Introduction: Welcome to my Marvel Super Heroes Squad: The Infinity Gauntlet guide. The feel they were going for is a Lego type game where you play through a story mode and then can access any levels you have completed via Free Play. You will need at least 2 playthroughs, but if you decide to play on Easy first to get the collectibles, add 1 more to your total. This is because there is no way to get all the collectibles in 1 run. You have to access the levels again through Free Play in order to swap in different characters and open all the secret areas. So if you go with Easy, your playthrough will look like this; Story mode on Easy, Free Play mode on Easy and then Story mode on Hard.

Step 1 – Playthrough 1 – Story Mode. For the least amount of playthroughs, I’d suggest starting the game on Challenging. It is not impossible and you will only run into trouble with a few of the bosses and areas that have large waves of enemies. It can definitely get frustrating but I have tips for every boss fight in the guide. The good news is that they are very generous with the checkpoints and you can skip the cut scenes so you don’t have to wait to get back to the action. In this first playthrough we will focus on getting as many of the 7 different stone fragment pieces we can and work on the collectibles and kills for the individual characters. You can track your total number of stones in the headquarters. It does not tell you what level you are missing them on but you will know how many you are missing. I have listed which episodes give which stones in their respective descriptions in the guide. The Heroic feats are trackable via the pause menu. You can just scroll through the characters you have unlocked so far and see what you need to do. I have broken all these out by each character and they are listed in the guide as well with the respective achievements. If you just play straight through this first playthrough it will take about 6-8 hours and you will get close to 500:gsicon:. There is nothing really missable as you can replay any level via level select. There are 3 achievements that you will want to pay attention to though and they are “Patience is a Virtue”, “Barrel Jumping Hero” and “Safety First”. If you don’t get them in this first run pick them up during Free play.

Step 2 – Playthrough 2 – Free Play Mode. This is accessed from the first screen in your headquarters. Walk over to the terminal on the right and press :bbut: to access the levels you have opened. To unlock all the secret areas and obtain the last collectibles and stones, you have to replay all the episodes again, except for 9 and 11. The game does an internal save after collecting objects so you won’t have to recollect anything once you pick it up for the first time. This comes in real handy for the freefall sections because you can play through it, grab what you can and then before getting to the end, pause the game and select “restart checkpoint”. It will put you right back at the beginning of the fall and you can try to grab the stones again. Repeat as often as you need too. The whole point of this second playthrough is to unlock all the remaining character specific achievements. Again, the information is in the guide sorted by character. Keep in mind that there is no reason to replay the end of level boss fights unless you want to. You can pause the game, select “save and exit” and all the new stuff you grabbed will be saved. You are looking at another 6 hours or so but it will go faster since you can skip the bosses and the guide will tell you what you need to find in each level. This will put you close to 800:gsicon:. A collectibles guide that is arranged in the order that the items are found in the game, can be found here.

Step 3 – Challenge Mode. This is where you will decide whether the 1000:gsicon: is worth it or not. The majority of the challenges are not too bad and I have tips for them all in the guide. The breaking point will come from the Hack and Survivor/Defender challenges. Hack challenges require twitch action speed to beat the scores and the Survivor/Defender challenges relentlessly throw wave after wave of enemies at you. All you have to do is survive until the timer counts down but that 3:00 seems like an eternity sometimes. I put challenge mode last because you will unlock more challenges as you play through story mode and free play mode completing Heroic Feats. You will need to finish them all to get the full 1000:gsicon:. Because this is skill based, you could spend anywhere from 2 to 5+ hours trying to complete them all. Some of these might be easier to try in Co-op if you can find some good partners.

Conclusion:

Overall the game is not too difficult to reach 800:gsicon:. The remaining 200 points will come from patience and skill. I’ve got general tips for everything but it will come down to the player's ability to get the full score. I would not classify this as a quick and easy 1000:gsicon: for the average gamer.

Hope you have fun with the game and if you hated it, well maybe the guide will help make it less painful.

Thanks for reading.

Find the Power Stone.

Story related and cannot be missed.

[spoiler=jk1]

This unlocks after defeating the Super Skrull at the end of the first episode, "Power of a Stone". I like to use ranged attacks while my CPU partner uses punches. Use Heroic attacks when you fill your meter to speed things up. If you do get knocked out, just run over and revive the fallen character with :bbut:.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1574/+fj6hA==.jpgThe Rhythm Stone - 15:gsicon:

Find the… Rhythm Stone?

Story related and cannot be missed.

[spoiler=jk2]

This unlocks after defeating Hercules at the end of the second episode, "Rhythm of Olympus". I used a combination of blocks, punches and ranged attacks to fill my meter and then I used my Heroic attack when it was available. Hercules will occasionally grab a column and try to smash you with it, so just move out of the way. Once the platform starts to rise, Herc will block and try to shoot you with lightning. Just use another Heroic attack to finish him off. If you do get knocked out, just run over and revive the fallen character with :bbut:.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1574/+BgCFw==.jpgThe Mind Stone - 15:gsicon:

Find the Mind Stone.

Story related and cannot be missed.

[spoiler=jk3]

This unlocks after defeating Nightmare at the end of the third episode, "Hulk Have Nightmare". To defeat him, just use regular attacks and then heroic attacks when you fill your meter. He will eventually throw out some mines. Using Hulk, go grab one of the candles with :bbut: and use it to smash him. Repeat 4 more times. You might need to use a final heroic attack to finish him off when you run out of candles. If you do get knocked out, just run over and revive the fallen character with :bbut:.

Find the Time Stone.

Story related and cannot be missed.

[spoiler=jk4]

This unlocks after defeating Annihilus at the end of the fourth episode, “Time to Find Time”. Simply block his attack and then counter attack him. Avoid the time freeze bombs when they come out and use your heroic attacks whenever you can to help clear out the minions that pop up. If you do get knocked out, just run over and revive the fallen character with :bbut:.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1574/-FoRfQ==.jpgThe Soul Stone - 15:gsicon:

Find the Soul Stone.

Story related and cannot be missed.

[spoiler=jk5]

This unlocks after defeating the Grandmaster’s final game at the end of the fifth episode, “Soul of a Maze”. To do this and win the stone, you need to open the center glass console by hacking the 3 terminals. Sounds simply enough but it gets frustrating due to the constant attack of enemies and the cloning of enemy versions of yourself. This is what I did that finally worked but it is still annoying on Hard. First, clear out the enemies and use Iron Man to hack the first terminal. You can do them in any order but I started with the middle. Then use Wolverine and slash the 3 posters in the back when they are green to prevent some of the minions from materializing. Switch back to Iron Man and quickly hack another terminal. Fight more clones and minions and then quickly hack the final terminal. Now watch out for all the vortexes that spring up and as soon as the glass console is open, jump in and claim your prize. If you do get knocked out, just run over and revive the fallen character with :bbut:.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1574/-nsYyA==.jpgThe Space Stone - 15:gsicon:

Find the Space Stone.

Story related and cannot be missed.

[spoiler=jk6]

This unlocks after defeating Doctor Doom at the end of the sixth episode, “Offspring of Villainy”. To defeat him, use a couple of regular attacks and then get out of the way of his lightning area attack. Run back in for a couple quick punches and then get out of the way again. Repeat until he rises in the air. Just run around the room in a circle while he tries to shoot at you. At some point he will split into 4 clones. Use Quicksilver and run to the nearest one and press “B”. Now press the corresponding buttons that pop up onscreen to make a circular running attack through the rest of the clones. Some Doombots will drop in so use a heroic attack and then repeat the whole thing until Doom is down. If you do get knocked out, just run over and revive the fallen character with :bbut:.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1574/-5vgWw==.jpgThe Reality Stone - 15:gsicon:

Find the Reality Stone.

Story related and cannot be missed.

[spoiler=jk7]

This unlocks after defeating the Abomination at the end of the seventh episode, “City of Doom”. To defeat him, you need to stay on the floating platforms since Doctor Doom will be electrifying the cage in the middle. Abomination will come to you so just block his 3 punches and then counter attack quickly. Keep it up and use heroic attacks when they are available. He actually went down pretty quickly. Maybe he got zapped by Doctor Doom as he ran over to me? Have to check this since the fight was over in less than a minute.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1574/UP8aHZg=.jpgStark Certified - 15:gsicon:

Complete Iron Man’s Heroic Feats.

The feats and your progress can be tracked via the pause menu. Complete the following feats:

Feat: Inventions inbound!

Description: You need to find the 3 Stark Tech Packages.

Reward: War Machine Costume

1) The first piece is found in the Headquarters and can be obtained after the Olympus level. Just walk into the doorway on the right to get to the next screen. You will see a closed grey door in the background. Walk through that door and into the back corner of the next room for the package.

2) The second piece is found in episode 5. After you complete the first parts of the game show, you will find yourself in a top down view similar to Gauntlet. Use Wolverine to slice through the first door and you should see the blue glowing object in a room off to the left. Work your way through the maze to the second door and use Wolverine again to get inside and collect the package.

3) The third piece can be found in episode 4, “Time to Find Time” in Free Play. After you fight Annihilus for the first time and he runs away you exit the throne room via the left door. In this next section you need to clear out all the minions and then fix a green machine with elemental power to move on. Right beside that first green machine is a computer terminal in the back wall. Once all the enemies are dead, hack the terminal and a hole in the wall opens up and shoots out a couple of time gems and the final piece.

Feat: Power stone fragment

Description: Collect 100 Power Stone Fragments

Reward: Challenge map - Asteroid Field

These fragments are found on episodes 1 (both parts), 8 and 10. You get fragments by killing enemies, destroying objects and finding secret areas. You can replay the levels via Free Play until you get the required amount. While in Free Play, you will be able to freely swap to any character type you need by holding down the :back: button and then pressing up or down until you get to whoever you want. You can check your progress in the fragment display room found in your headquarters.

Feat: Stark certified

Description: Complete all previous feats.

Reward: Achievement unlocks.

This unlocks automatically when you complete the other 2 feats.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1574/UP765Qs=.jpgDeadly Darling - 15:gsicon:

Complete Black Widow’s Heroic Feats.

The feats and your progress can be tracked via the pause menu. Complete the following feats:

Feat: I spy, with my little eye

Description: Collect 3 secret communiqués

Reward: Classic Costume

1) The first one can be found in the headquarters after completing the seventh episode. It is in the very first room by the “Free Play” terminal. You almost start on top of it.

2) The second one can be found on episode 8. You will need to realign cable TV dishes to power the shield. After the first set you cross a bridge to a second set. In the middle of this area there is a remote controlled robot that you can steer up the ramp on the right side and into the house. Drive straight back to hit a button that will open the dispenser in the front of the house. Grab the bomb tube with :bbut: and run to the next house on the left. Jump with :abut: to rocket up to the top and follow the rooftops to the left for the communiqué.

3) The third one can be found in episode 10. Defeat the dark Nightmare and Hercules and then before leaving the room switch to a strength character. Now go jump onto the ledge by the monitor in the back left corner of the room and then jump onto the top of the monitor itself. Break the wall and enter the hole for a secret room. Go around the room and destroy all the crates. Switch to Quicksilver and go to the back right corner. Basically start at switch 1 in the diagram below and then choose the rest in the following numerical order:

7_______8_______1

________________2

6___3

5_______________4

Once you complete the puzzle, the final communiqué will appear in front of the terminal below where you end up.

Feat: I’m firing my laser

Description: Defeat 50 enemies with the Hero Up pickup

Reward: Challenge Map – Galactus

This is easily a candidate for the most grinding of feats. This is not necessarily hard; it is just time consuming because you need to first pick-up the randomly dropped SHS badge to “Hero Up”. I just kept replaying the Survival challenge, Skrull Ship Aft. Once the badge pops up, go grab it and start pressing :ybut: as fast as you can to rack up kills. Save your heroic attacks for when the Super Skrull appears as 2 specials will take him out. This allows you to keep fighting longer and have more of a chance on your random drop.

Feat: Deadly Darling

Description: Complete all previous feats.

Reward: Achievement unlocks.

This unlocks automatically when you complete the other 2 feats.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1574/UPzb7L4=.jpgSlice ‘N Dice - 15:gsicon:

Complete Wolverine’s Heroic Feats.

The feats and your progress can be tracked via the pause menu. Complete the following feats:

Feat: Bub

Description: Defeat 100 Doombots as Wolverine

Reward: Brown and gold costume

For a relatively quick 100, select “Challenges” from the main menu and then select “Survival”. Now, choose “Asteroid M Elevator” or “Construction Site” and start killing the green Doombots. Just keep replaying either of these levels until you have your 100 kills.

Feat: Soul stone fragments

Description: Collect 100 soul stone fragments

Reward: Challenge Map – Grandmaster’s Stage

You get fragments by killing enemies, destroying objects and finding secret areas. You can replay the levels via Free Play until you get the required amount. While in Free play, you will be able to freely swap to any character type you need by holding down the :back: button and then pressing up or down until you get to whoever you want. You can check your progress in the fragment display room found in your headquarters.

Feat: Slice ‘N Dice

Description: Complete all previous feats.

Reward: Achievement unlocks.

This unlocks automatically when you complete the other 2 feats.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1574/UP07FC0=.jpgT-Rex Nino - 15:gsicon:

Complete Reptil’s Heroic Feats.

The feats and your progress can be tracked via the pause menu. Complete the following feats:

Feat: Cantankerous!

Description: Defeat 100 enemies with Reptil’s heroic attack.

Reward: Challenge Map – S.H.I.E.L.D. Building Rooftop

To do a heroic attack you need at least one circle of your special meter filled, then just press :ltbut: to activate it. This is cumulative and counts throughout story mode, free play and Challenge mode.

Feat: They are collectables!

Description: Find 4 ultra rare stark saucer toys

Reward: Dino Costume

1) The first one can be found in the headquarters after episode 6. From the starting room, head through the right doorway into the hall with the 3 grey doors. Go in the middle door to see a glowing red object generally in front of you, hard to miss it really.

2) The second one is found on episode 7. Toward the end of the level, you have to defend 3 vents from the attacking Doombots. On the left side there is a circular hole that Spidey can fill with webbing. Once you do this, use the web trampoline to bounce to the top of the left platform. Near the back edge is a glowing red object. Grab it for saucer #2.

3) The second one can be found on Olympus in Free play. Shortly after the arena with the training dummies, you will encounter an arched bridge. Cross it and on the other side you will see some statues. The second statue will be glowing slightly and you can use a “strength” character to smash it and get the saucer.

4) The third one can be found in episode 4, “Time to Find Time” in Free Play. At the very beginning kill the minions but before leaving that first room, swap in a strength character and smash the ground at the cracked portion of ground. It is on the left side right in front and you will fall into the hole. Grab the saucer and some time stone fragments too.

Feat: T-Rex Nino

Description: Complete all previous feats.

Reward: Achievement unlocks.

This unlocks automatically when you complete the other 2 feats.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1574/UPiZ-9Q=.jpgThe Hulkster - 15:gsicon:

The feats and your progress can be tracked via the pause menu. Complete the following feats:

Feat: Let Them Smash Cake

Description: Hit Nightmare with 3 candles during one fight.

Reward: Challenge Map - Cake Nightmare

To defeat him, just use regular attacks and then heroic attacks when you fill your meter. He will eventually throw out some mines. Using Hulk, go grab one of the candles with :bbut: and use it to smash him. Repeat 2 more times.

While in Free play, you will be able to freely swap to any character type you need by holding down the :back: button and then pressing up or down until you get to whoever you want. The feats and your progress can be tracked via the pause menu. Complete the following feats:

Feat: The Offices of Walters, Lee and Awesome!

Description: Collect 4 misplaced legal documents.

Reward: Challenge Map - Whack an Imp

1) The first document can be found in episode 3. While going through the level you will come to a stone that you can pull out with Hulk. Do so and a platform will lower in the back corner. Your partner will jump on it and you need to push the stone back where you found it to raise it again. Swap to the other character and leap onto the back ledge to grab the glowing red item.

2) The second one can be found in the headquarters after episode 4. From the main room, take the right exit and you will be in a hallway with 3 doors. Take the door on the right into a room that looks like sleeping quarters. The brief is just off to the left.

3) The third one is found by replaying episode 7. After the freefall section, you will shortly come to a part where you need to use Spider-man to web a hole and use Reptil to cut a rope that will destroy a cannon. After this you will be on the side of a blue building and 2 Doombots will be shooting you from a floating platform. Destroy the Doombots and the platform will lower allowing you to jump onto it. From there you will go to a hanging platform and finally back to the side of the building. As soon as you land on the other side, you will see a glowing portion of the back wall. Use a strength character to break it down and collect your brief.

4) The fourth one is found while replaying episode 8. At the very beginning, wipe out the Skrulls, hack the terminal and shoot the snipers and force field with the cannon. Before moving on, switch to a strength character and break the boulder on the left. The brief will be right behind it.

Feat: Brain over brawn

Description: Defeat 10 enemies with levitated objects

Reward: Ultimates costume

I did all of these on episode 4. Shortly after reconnecting 3 sections of pipe outside, you will find yourself back in the throne room. This time the grey circular doors on each side will be dispensing bomb tubes. Take her over to a boom tube, quickly levitate it with :bbut: press in the direction of and enemy and press :xbut: to launch it and kill them. Repeat 9 more times. If you run out of enemies, just pause and select "restart checkpoint". You can do this as often as you need to and finish it up. It works best right at the start of the fight before you are overwhelmed.

Feat: Woman with Vision

Description: Complete all previous feats.

Reward: Achievement unlocks.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1574/UPvB9z0=.jpgWebslinger - 15:gsicon:

Complete Spider-Man’s Heroic Feats.

The feats and your progress can be tracked via the pause menu. Complete the following feats:

Feat: Reality stone fragments

Description: Collect 100 Reality stone fragments

Reward: Venom Costume

These fragments are found in episodes 7, 8 and 10. You get fragments by killing enemies, destroying objects and finding secret areas. You can replay the level via Free play until you get the required amount. While in Free play, you will be able to freely swap to any character type you need by holding down the :back: button and then pressing up or down until you get to whoever you want. You can check your progress in the fragment display room found in your headquarters.

Feat: Flying is falling with style

Description: Hit no obstacles during the base jump sequence in Super Hero City.

Reward: Challenge Map – Base Jump

On episode 7, you will encounter a Donkey Kong style mini-game. Afterward you need to climb to the top of the building. At the top you need to use Spidey’s web to grab 6 Doombots off floating platforms. When you jump on the platform to proceed, you will start a freefalling section. Make it all the way to the bottom avoiding all the debris and this will be completed. The best tip I can give is to keep an eye on Abomination and follow his movements as he will take the clear path straight down. If you do hit something, immediately go ahead and pause the game and choose “restart checkpoint” to try again.

Feat: Webslinger

Description: Complete all previous feats.

Reward: Achievement unlocks.

This unlocks automatically when you complete the other 2 feats.

Your progress can be tracked in the game by pausing the game and selecting "Heroic Feats" from the menu. I have also described how to do each feat under the character specific achievements.

This puzzle can be found in episode 10. Basically start at switch 1 in the diagram below and then choose the rest in the following order:

Complete Story Mode on Challenging Difficulty

This is selectable from the beginning and really is not too difficult with the exception of maybe having to replay a couple of the boss fights. All the strategies I have in the guide are for the “Challenging” difficulty. You can revive your partner if they get KO'ed and if you both die, you don't have to do much backtracking. The difficulty achievements are stackable so beating the game on hard will also net you “Squad Initiate” (easy) and “Squad Member” (normal). I’d played through solo but it may be helpful to have another person play too because the AI sucks.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1574/UPptKlU=.jpgSafety First - 10:gsicon:

Defend the S.H.I.E.L.D. Building without losing a cooling vent.

Right before the boss fight of episode 7 “City of Doom”, you will find yourself on a rooftop with Doombots shooting you from the top platforms and three grey circular vents. During this time, regular Doombots will land on the platform and start attacking the vents. You need to prevent them from destroying a single vent. They all must still be standing when the attack is over. I like to use Spider-man here. You can stand at one of the vents and then press :ybut: to shoot a web and yank the enemies to you. Ignore the snipers until the rest of the Doombots stop appearing. If you do lose a vent, you can pause the game, select “restart checkpoint”, and try again.

On the main menu select Challenges and then select Hack Attack. There are 6 hacks total and you unlock them in order. You start with Circuit 1 and when you beat the best time you get Circuit 2. The achievement unlocks when you beat the best time for the last hack. A list of the times you need to beat can be found under “Challenge Master”.

Complete every Race challenge.

On the main menu select Challenges and then select Iron Man Robo Racing. There are 6 races total and you unlock them in order. You start with Track Mark 1 and when you beat the best time you get Track Mark 2. The achievement unlocks when you beat the lap time for the sixth race. A list of the lap times you need to beat can be found under “Challenge Master”.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1574/UPpnLOA=.jpgChallenge Master - 100:gsicon:

Complete every challenge.

As you play through story mode and complete various feats you will unlock mini-games for play in the “Challenge” section of the main menu. You need to complete them all for this to unlock. They are considered “complete” when you have the top score. Here is a list:

Survival

1) Skrull Ship Aft – Kill the first guy and then run to a corner and block until the timer runs out.

2) The Colosseum - I used Thor and just kept throwing my hammer along with a heroic attack when needed. I was able to use a green gem on Hercules to take him out in 1 hit.

3) Bug Rush - I used Thor and just kept throwing my hammer along with a heroic attack when needed. I was able to use a green gem on Annihilus to take him out in 1 hit.

4) Asteroid M Elevator - I used Thor and just kept throwing my hammer along with a heroic attack when needed.

5) Construction Site – Kill the first guy and then run to a corner and block until the timer runs out.

6) New Zenn La - I used Wolverine and played as cautiously as I could. Using blocks and then counter attacks to fill my heroic meter. I got some major help by getting 2 back to back SHS badges and a lot of time stones. Of course these drops are random.

Soar-N-Score

1) Asteroid Field – Fly through the course and make it to the end without dying.

2) Base Jump – Fly through the course and make it to the end without dying.

3) Galactus - This is a repeat of the boss fight. The same tactics apply so check "The Large One" for help if needed.

Blast-A-Thon

1) Whack an Imp - Choose Nova as your character and when the first Imp pops up, DO NOT shoot him. Instead, move your cursor away from him and shoot whatever he throws at you. Now just hold down :xbut: at that exact spot and he will keep tossing items at you while you keep shooting them out of the sky. Just sit there and wait until the countdown reaches zero and no other Imps will even spawn. Thanks to weffalump for this great tip!

2) Radar Riot – Live through the entire fight by shooting things out of the sky until time runs out.

3) Earth’s Orbit – Live through the entire fight by shooting things out of the sky until time runs out.

Defender

1) S.H.I.E.L.D. Building Rooftop - I used Thor and just kept throwing my hammer with :ybut:. Use your heroic attack in a pinch.

2) Lost in the Negative Zone - I used Iron Man. You need to protect Herbie while he repairs things. I just stayed beside him and kept blasting with my repulsers and I would use a heroic attack when things got hectic or on the large bugs.

3) Battle Floats - I used Thor and just kept throwing my hammer with :ybut:. Use your heroic attack in a pinch.

Super Smash

1) Skrull Shenanigans – Destroy an object and then just stand there until time runs out.

2) Sparring Pit - Destroy an object and then just stand there until time runs out.

3) The Cake Nightmare – Destroy an object and then just stand there until time runs out.

4) Grandmaster’s Stage - Destroy an object and then just stand there until time runs out.

5) Magneto's Observatory - Destroy an object and then just stand there until time runs out.

6) Spire Pinnacle - Destroy an object and then just stand there until time runs out.

Iron Man Robo Racing

1) Track Mark 1 – race around the track 5 laps with a time better than 1:20

2) Track Mark 2 - race around the track 5 laps with a time better than 1:30

3) Track Mark 3 - race around the track 5 laps with a time better than 1:40

4) Track Mark 4 - race around the track 5 laps with a time better than 1:10

5) Track Mark 5 - race around the track 5 laps with a time better than 1:20

6) Track Mark 6 - race around the track 5 laps with a time better than 1:10

Hack Attack

1) Circuit 1 – align the shapes to connect a green line. You need to beat 0:14 for this one.

2) Circuit 2 – align the shapes to connect a green line. You need to beat 0:18 for this one.

3) Circuit 3 – align the shapes to connect a green line. You need to beat 0:20 for this one.

4) Circuit 4 – align the shapes to connect a green line. You need to beat 0:38 for this one.

5) Circuit 5 – align the shapes to connect a green line. You need to beat 0:40 for this one.

6) Circuit 6 - align the shapes to connect a green line. You need to beat 0:50 for this one.

Collect all Infinity Stone Fragments.

This unlocks when you have collected all the stone fragments. You get fragments by killing enemies, destroying objects and finding secret areas. Replay the levels via Free play until you get the required number of each. While in Free play, you will be able to swap to any character you need by holding down the :back: button and then pressing up or down until you get to whoever you want. You can check your progress in the fragment display room found in your headquarters.

You need:

120 Power Stones - These fragments are found in episodes 1 (both parts), 8 and 10.

100 Rhythm Stones - These fragments are found in episode 2.

120 Mind Stones - These fragments are found in episodes 3, 8 and 10.

120 Time Stones - These fragments are found in episodes 4, 8 and 10.

120 Soul Stones - These fragments are found in episodes 5, 8 and 10.

120 Space Stones - These fragments are found in episodes 6, 8 and 10.

120 Reality Stones - These fragments are found in episodes 7, 8 and 10.

There are a little more available than you need. For example, there are maybe 125 mind stones in the game but you only need 120. You can not replay the same level and grab the same stones twice. In the freefall sections, if you miss one you can restart your checkpoint to try and grab it again. You just need to be sure to do so prior to completing the free fall or you will have to restart the level. This achievement will require you to play through all of story mode and then replay at least the first 8 episodes on Free play. You have to do it on Free play to have the ability to swap in other characters to open the secret areas.

Defeat six or more enemies with a single heroic attack.

During the Olympus mission (episode 2) you will eventually get to an arena of sorts. Follow the onscreen prompts to kill the training dummies and you will be attacked by a large wave of dummies at the same time. Your partner will prompt you to use your heroic attack to destroy them. Simply press :ltbut: to activate the special move and it will take 1 circle of power to use. After using it once "Heroic Attack" will unlock. Immediately after this first large wave of dummies comes a second wave of dummies. Pull :ltbut: again to defeat them all and get "Heroic Hero!".

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1574/UPydz-A=.jpgDeflected! - 5:gsicon:

Reflect an enemies attack back at them.

Press the :bbut: button to block an enemy’s attack the moment before impact to deflect the damage and get this achievement. You will get this during the course of playing through the game if you block regularly. I got it during the Olympus arena with the training dummies without even trying for it.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1574/UPk-JAk=.jpgTake That, Villain! - 15:gsicon:

Defeat an enemy with a parry.

Time a block with :bbut: and then attack immediately after. This should come naturally during regular play; if not you can try for it indefinitely in Free play if you need to.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1574/UPjf3Jo=.jpgSuper Hero Up! - 10:gsicon:

Revive a teammate.

See "Super Revive Hero".

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1574/UPr+1S8=.jpgSuper Revive Hero - 15:gsicon:

Revive a teammate 10 times.

When your partner is KO'ed walk close to them and press the :bbut: when prompted to revive them. Repeat 9 more times during the course of the game. If for some reason you don't get this during regular play it can be unlocked via Free play as well.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1574/UPksTGM=.jpgHero Punch - 5:gsicon:

Break through the defenses of a defending enemy.

I got this during the fight with Hercules. I just punched him and then did a Heroic Attack with :ltbut: and it unlocked. I don't really know what triggered it but you will probably get it randomly while playing through the story mode of the game. Another option to try would be on an enemy with a shield. Hold :xbut: to charge and then release to break the shield and get the hit.

Secret Achievements

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1574/s1.jpgThe Large One! - 15:gsicon:

Saved the Skrull Throne World from Galactus.

Story related and cannot be missed.

[spoiler=jk8]

Galactus is the boss fight of episode 8, “Taste of a Throneworld” and you fight him while piloting catering trucks. The goal is to shoot tacos and ice cream cones into his open mouth so that he will be too full to eat the planet. On hard, this can be difficult because you will die in 2 hits and your partner is usually already dead and will not have had time to respawn yet. The tactic I used was to generally stay right in the center of the screen. This will give you time to avoid the laser beam swipes on the top and bottom and the arm swipes on the sides of the screen while making the minimum amount of movements. The reason I suggest this is because all his attacks seem to hit a rather large portion of the screen. Other than that, keep shooting him in the mouth when he opens it and he will walk away when full.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1574/s2.jpgLost, found, then lost again. - 15:gsicon:

Defended the Helicarrier from assault… but lost the Infinity Stones

Story related and cannot be missed.

[spoiler=jk9]

Simply survive through all of episode 9, “Carrier Full of Infinity”. There is no boss fight here, just wave after wave of minions and a couple of shooting mini games thrown in the mix as well. During the level you will constantly be forced to change teams to defend the ship. Just keep up the attack and use heroic attacks when you get in a bind. Always revive your partner if they are KO’ed too. This level might actually be easier to play in Co-op since the AI is pretty much useless on the shooting sections. The good news is that after each fight section you get a checkpoint so you won’t have to replay much.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1574/s3.jpgThe Overmaster’s Underworld - 15:gsicon:

Infiltrated Thanos' Hideout

Story related and cannot be missed.

[spoiler=jk10]

This unlocks after defeating Thanos at the end of episode 10, "Moons Over My Thanos". At the beginning of the fight he his invincible so avoid him at all costs. After a couple of minutes you will get a cut scene and your characters will “Hero Up”. Thanos can now take damage. I just kept my distance and continually shot him with ranged attacks. About halfway through, Super Skrull will be back to join the fight. Just keep on attacking both of them with ranged attacks and use heroic attacks when you need a breather. When Super Skrull goes to man the cannon, either run over and punch him or shoot him to knock him off the controls. When Thanos clones himself just use a heroic attack to wipe them all out at once. If someone is KO’ed, revive them if you can. If too much is going on though, just run a large circle around the screen for a few seconds avoiding everyone and your partner will eventually wake back up. When the Super Skrull attacks you from the corners with his laser, just make sure he does not have line of sight and he won’t be able to hit you. It is one of the longer fights but it really isn’t very difficult if you play it safe.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1574/s4.jpgNothing is Forever - 15:gsicon:

Saved Super Hero City and redeemed Silver Surfer

Story related and cannot be missed.

[spoiler=jk11]

This unlocks after defeating the sixth version of the Dark Surfer in episode 11, "Dark Infinity".

Version 1 – Soul Surfer

This one is mostly annoying because of the cloning and the posters are back. Again may not be too bad with 2 players but the CPU is pretty useless. Start the fight by blocking his attacks and quickly countering. He will then move on to cloning you. If you are fast enough you can run away from the vortex but the CPU always gets sucked in so it really does not matter. Take out the clones as fast as you can and then run to the posters in the back and slash whichever ones turn green and kill any minions that escape. The surfer will then reset his attack pattern so continue using the same tactics until he falls. Use heroic attacks and revive your partner as needed.

Version 2 – Space Surfer

For this fight you will have your 2 speed characters. Once again start with regular attacks and when you see him wind up get out of the way to avoid his laser blast. After taking some damage he will resort to disfiguring the floor and cloning himself. You need to quickly decide which one clone will give you a clean line of sight to the rest and then rush over and hit :bbut: to start the chain. This is the same tactic that we used during the doctor doom fight earlier. Generally speaking you want to start from the highest one or the one in a back corner. This will enable you to then select the next lower one or clone that you have a straight line of sight too. If you are successful you will do some damage and avoid the big attack. The floor will reset and the surfer will immediately begin sweeping the floor with a laser starting from the left and moving right. You can jump it but the CPU will ALWAYS just die here. So instead, run all the way to the right side of the screen and then switch to the other character and have him run over to the right side as well. The surfer can’t hit you here and both characters will still be alive to continue the fight. Resume the assault, repeating the above until he dies.

Version 3 – Mind Surfer

You have the 2 strength characters for this fight. We get a bit of a breather here, as this is a simpler fight than the first 2. This is basically a rehash of the Nightmare fight from earlier. Use regular attacks to start with and block/avoid the Surfer’s attacks. After taking a bit of damage, he will warp to the middle and call in some mines. A shockwave will push you away initially but you will still have enough time to run over and grab a column. If you stay by the columns the back wall will stop you from getting pushed back to far. Pick it up with :bbut: for some decent damage. Repeat 4 more times and he will be on his last legs. Use a heroic attack to finish him off.

Version 4 – Reality Surfer

You start with the 2 elemental characters here. This one is another easy one but you can die quickly if not prepared. I like to hang back and use ranged attacks while sidestepping his laser attacks. He will call in some minions so take them out with a quick heroic attack and move to the center of the screen. Large fists will crash out of the TV screens and pound the ground. This is where you will die if you’re not in the middle where they can’t reach you. Once the fists retract, just resume your long range assault and repeat the pattern until he is down.

Version 5 – Time Surfer

The energy ladies are up next. The surfer will materialize bombs and they will begin counting down to detonation. Stay away from them and attack from a distance. Minions will warp in so take them out and continue the fight. The surfer will set off a time bomb and it will slowly radiate out to the other edge of the screen. If you get caught in this blast you will be stopped until it dissipates, so avoid it like the plague. He will also litter the opposite side with smaller time bombs so beware of those too. You can use the energy portals to warp into better positions if you need too. Keep up the pressure and he will fall. As always, revive and use heroic attacks as needed.

Version 6 – Power Surfer

Bring in the tech support team for this one. Another easy one once you figure out what to do. Again go with ranged attacks. This surfer is bulkier than the rest and as a result moves quite slow. As the fight progresses, support crates will be dropped in. Shoot them open to unveil a remote control robot and a computer console. Go to the remote robot and guide him to the surfer. Once you hit him with it he will be dazed. Now quickly make your way to the console to activate the satellite laser. Guide the crosshair to the surfer and press :xbut:. As he starts to come to, a large blast will hit him for a good amount of damage. He will destroy the console but another will come in at a different location so repeat the steps over again until he is wiped out. One thing to note, since he is so slow you can climb to the top platform and just shoot him in the head while he makes his way up to you. It does not do much damage but it is a good way to let your partner auto-revive if you can’t get to him. Use heroic attacks to speed this fight up a bit. Enjoy the ending.

You waited calmly in the Grandmaster’s Green Room.

At the start of the fifth episode, “Soul of a Maze” you are in a studio green room with Wolverine and Iron Man. The chubby lady tells you to wait here for a moment, so just hang out and do NOTHING for about 2 minutes. After that, the big doors will open and the achievement will unlock.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1574/s6.jpgJump Hero! - 10:gsicon:

Barrel Jumping Hero.

This can be obtained near the beginning of episode 7, “City of Doom”. After you make your way outside for the first time, you will need to fight some Doombots, use webbing to destroy some fan blades and then cut a rope to lower some scaffold ramps. The game will now turn into a Donkey Kong like mini-game where you need to make it to the top without getting hit by the barrels. If you are having trouble doing this, try jumping over the barrels while running on the flat sections and on the slanted sections, I stopped when one was coming and just jumped straight up. The achievement unlocks once you successfully reach the top. If you do get hit, pause the game, select restart checkpoint and you get to try it again. This is what I did and it still unlocked. You can do this the first time you get there in story mode or while you are replaying the level in Free play.

Each of the 3 characters from this pack have only 1 Heroic Feat and they are all the same: Defeat 50 enemies with their heroic attack. Go into Challenge mode, select whichever of the 3 you want to start with and pick whatever survival challenge you like. I used the first one with the Skrulls and you can get 10 to 20 kills per round depending on how long you can last. Basically fill your meter, get in a group of enemies and pull :ltbut: to unleash your heroic attack. Repeat as needed. Once you have the first character's achievement, back out to the character select screen with :bbut:, select the next person and start over again. It takes maybe 10 minutes per character so you are looking at 30 minutes for the full 250:gsicon:.

Thanks for the guide Scrapdaddy, it came in very useful.

I found a method for the Whack an Imp challenge which makes it extremely easy to complete solo.

Choose Nova as your character. Dont kill the first imp that spawns, just position your crosshairs so that they destroy what he throws at you and keep :xbut: held down in that same position until the timer runs out. No other imps will ever spawn if you dont kill him.

Genius! just tried it and that worked like a charm. That is definitely the easiest method for that challenge. I'll update the guide. Thanks!
